TIACA is a not for profit trade association for the air cargo industry, pledged to support and assist progressive liberalization of the global market, and easier, enhanced trade between developing and developed economies.  It is a worldwide organization that serves a membership which includes all major segments of the air cargo and logistics industry; airlines, forwarders, airports, ground handlers, all-cargo carriers, road carriers, customs brokers, third party logistics companies, integrators, shippers, and educational institutions.

To accomplish its mission and role, TIACA engages in activities that are geared to improve industry cooperation, promote innovation, share knowledge, enhance quality and efficiency, and develop educational programs. TIACAs activities are aimed to inform both the public and its membership about the role and importance of air cargo, industry developments and technical trends.

TIACA publishes industry position papers, the TIACA Times newsletter and the weekly Regulatory Update. The TIACA website is a valuable industry resource which contains a fully searchable database of information on industry issues. TIACA has developed research relationships with several universities through joint projects and student scholarship programs.

TIACA is committed to representing and advocating the interests of the air cargo industry at meetings of relevant regulatory bodies including the WCO, ICAO, UNCTAD, OECD and others that are open to trade observers.

TIACAs biennial International Air Cargo Forum and Exposition is the premier air cargo industry event. This world-class event rotates every two years between Europe, the Americas and Asia.  Air cargo decision-makers from around the world gather at ACF to network and address current industry challenges and opportunities.

The Annual Executive Summit (ES) provides a platform for top logistics executives from multi-national companies in key industry sectors, plus leading representatives from the global air cargo community to hear experts address current industry topics as well as participate in these discussions.   Its casual setting promotes dialogue and meaningful conversations. TIACAs Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in conjunction with the Executive Summit and brings together its diverse membership to discuss Association matters and deepen closer ties between individual members.

Through peer nomination and evaluation, TIACA recognizes and honors air cargo professionals for excellence and outstanding contributions, achievements, performance and innovation through the prestigious annual Air Cargo Hall of Fame award.

The board has directed that TIACA proactively develop education programs that benefit all members of the worldwide air cargo community. TIACA recognizes that current information, analysis and knowledge of an educated and competent workforce are essential for success of the air cargo industry and wants to ensure recognition of its significant contribution to business competitiveness, world trade, and economic development.

1. Widen market access by the removal or reduction of constraints imposed on air cargo by its current dependence on bilateral traffic rights agreements focused primarily on passenger services.

2. Identify and oppose any new regulations that could increase air cargo operational costs or hamper its performance capabilities.

3. Support security measures that are effective, workable, and affordable and create a minimum of disruption to the flow of air cargo that essentially relies on speed.

4. Construct and promote strategies and principles that will reconcile legitimate public concern for sound environmental policies with the continuing need for economic growth, supported by competitive airfreight services, particularly in developing economies.

5. Secure consistent progress in the efficiency and integrity of relevant regulatory agencies, especially customs services.

6. Raise industry performance standards.
